Tricholomopsis ornaticeps (G. Stev.) E. Horak
An ochraceous cap densely covered with small brown fibrillose scales. Cap diam: up to 80 mm. The gills are yellow and the spore print is white. Saprobic on decaying wood on the ground.
Found under beech, although it now also appears under pine and larch.
Tricholomopsis scabra J.A. Cooper
This species is a yellow-orange colour but densely covered with coarse red-brown fibrous scales. Cap diam: 60–100 mm. The gills are yellow. The stipe is yellow but covered with reddish brown fibrils. It is found associated with tea tree and podocarps.
