Syn: Pycnoporus coccineus

A bright orange-red leathery bracket attached to dead trees and logs. The upper surface of the bracket often shows concentric bands of colour. Size: 30–60 mm wide.

Trametes versicolor (L.) Lloyd

A thin bracket found on dead trees, stumps and logs.

The bands of colour can vary, but includes greys, browns and yellows.

Can be found in gardens, parks and on farms as well as in native bush.

Trametes hirsuta (Wulfen) Lloyd

A small bracket with the upper surface covered in hairs. The under surface is a fawn colour. Size: 10–20 mm wide. It is found on fallen native wood.
