Hygrocybe blanda E. Horak
A small orange waxgill with decurrent to sub-decurrent pale yellowish gills. It can appear more reddish orange when young and then fades to a yellow-orange.
Cap diam: 10–15 mm.
Often found growing in groups in soil in mixed broadleaf-podocarp forests.
Hygrocybe elegans E. Horak
A yellow to orange species found under tea-tree and broadleaf-podocarp forest. Cap diam: up to 25–30 mm.
Hygrocybe procera E. Horak
A bright orange waxgill which often appears early in the autumn in a variety of forest types. Cap diam: up to 50 mm. The cap surface is scurfy. The orange gills are decurrent. As it ages the cap becomes upturned.
