Basionym: Cortinarius viscostriatus E. Horak
A glutinous to viscid light honey brown coloured species with a striate margin. Cap diam: to 40 mm. The gills are honey coloured. The stipe is white. Under beech.
This one can look very similar to C. vitreopileatus, but under the microscope, this species has a sterile edge to its gills.
