Cyclocybe parasitica (G. Stev.) Vizzini

An indigenous parasitic species found on native trees, especially tawa, but also on exotics such as poplar. They are easy to identify when they are mature with the brown “skirt” on the stipe. Cap diam: 80–120 mm.
