Amanita pumatona G.S. Ridl.
A medium sized pale grey mushroom with darker grey warts. A notable feature is the volva remnants hanging from the cap margin.
The annulus (ring) tends to break up quite readily.
The stipe appears to be bulbous, but some specimens have a radicating base which extends deeper into the soil, as shown in the second image.
