Suillus granulatus (L.)Roussel

An introduced species found under pine. This species can vary in colour from yellowish brown to red-tan.

The stipe does not have a ring on it and is quite yellow at the top.

Cap diam: up to 150 mm.


Suillus grevillei (Kltzsch) Singer

This species is found under larch. The cap is golden brown to golden yellow, and has a diam. up to 150 mm. The pores are a yellow colour. A ring is often seen on the stipe.

An introduced species from the Northern Hemisphere.


Suillus luteus (L.) Roussel

A large golden brown glutinous species found under pines. The pores are yellow but become olive brown with age. Cap diam: up to 230 mm. It has a ring on the stipe.
