Xerocomellus bubalinus (Oolbekk. & Duin.) Miksik

(Syn. Hortiboletus bubalinus)

An introduced bolete found under exotic trees such as poplars. It varies in colour from ochraceous to pale or yellowish brown, but paler towards the margins. The pores are yellow to olivaceous yellow. Cap diam: to 50 mm. The stipe has a pink tint to it and can be cylindrical or club-shaped.

Xerocomellus ripariellus (Redeuilh) Sutara

This species is found in wet areas with introduced trees eg. poplars, willows, alders and oaks. The cap is some shade of red, often fading and cracking as it ages. The stipe is yellow in the upper part and reddish in the lower part.
