Tympanella galanthina (Cooke & Massee) E. Horak

This species appears as a fluffy white or beige globose mushroom on leaf litter and fallen tree fern fronds. It is secotioid, ie. it never fully opens. Cap diam: up to 25–30 mm. If the cap is partially open, the gills can be seen as a rusty brown colour. The stipe is up to 25 mm tall and covered with white fibrils. This species is found where the forest conditions are quite wet.
