Neolentinus lepideus (Fr.) Redhead & Gins Found growing on rotting pine logs in a coastal walkway on the Tauranga Harbour. The young fruiting bodies start off quite white, and darken as they age, the gills becoming yellow. These large specimens were 32 cm in diameter. |
