This is a beige coloured species covered in tiny dark fibrils. Cap diam: 15–35 mm. The gills are pale mauve. Found under beech. |

This species can be quite variable. They are a violet colour when young but become fawn on maturity. Others can appear buff with dark fibrils and can be confused with L. fibrillosa. Cap diam: up to 25 mm. Found under beech. |
