Hericium novae-zelandiae (Colenso) Chr.A. Sm. & J.A. Cooper Quite an amazing one to find, and unmistakeable. Sometimes referred to as the "Icicle Fungus" because of the way the spines hang downwards. The spores are produced all over this fungus. It is usually found on standing dead tree trunks or fallen logs throughout autumn and winter. |
