Entoloma hochstetteri (Reichardt) G. Stev. An unmistakable species with its blue colour and conical shape. Cap diam: 20–50 mm. The gills are blue but becoming reddish on maturity. The stipe is blue, has a twisted appearance, and there is a white weft of mycelium at the base. The blue colour of this species can vary from a grey-blue to a brilliant blue. Found in mixed broadleaf-podocarp forest. |
