Descolea aff. recedens (Cook & Massee) Singer

A small brown fungus found growing in soil under beech and tea tree. Cap diam: to 45 mm. It is striate towards the margin and has a small ring on the stipe.

This species has been misidentifed as D. gunnii in the past. It is very similar to the Australian D. recedens but molecukar data shows that it is not the same.

Descolea phlebophora E. Horak

This reddish brown mushroom has a wrinkly cap and a whitish ring. Cap diam: 10–30 mm. Found under beech and teatree.
