Cortinarius cucumeris Horak This is a very glutinous yellow-brown to date brown fungus, sometimes with a faint mauve colour to it. The white stipe has a mauve tinge, and a golden-brown collar below which the stipe appears to be thicker. The gills are pale mauve. Cap diam: 25–50 mm. This species smells of cucumber. Under beech. |
