Cortinarius caryotis Soop A common species, this has a dark mahogany to almost black cap. The gills start as a yellow-ochre colour but become darker with age. The stipe is greyish yellow with reddish brown to yellow brown veil remnants on it. Cap diam: to 60–70 mm. Under beech. |
