Cortinarius beeverorum Orlovich, Xin Yue Wang & T. Lebel This is a sequestrate fungus seen as a sticky orange-red sphere emerging from soil and mosses. It appears not to have a stipe. Fruiting body diam: to 25 mm. Under beech. A similar but more yellow fungus, Cortinarius peraurantiacus, is found under Leptospermum/Kunzea (tea-tree). |
