Entolomas are a large family and over 50 New Zealand species have been described, many of them being endemic.

Probably the best known of the New Zealand entolomas is the blue one, Entoloma hochstetteri

Entolomas come in a range of colours and sizes, but they all produce pink-coloured angular spores as shown in this photo.
