More sporophytes!

Leptostomum macrocarpon

Macromitrium longipes

Pallavicinia xiphoides (a liverwort) - the sporophyte will emerge and become longer.

Monoclea forsteri - although my reference book says these sporophytes are rarely seen, I've found lots of them, but they only appear over a few weeks in September. This is one liverwort where the capsule splits along one side only. That brown fluff is the spores.

And here's a family of sporophytes having a day out in the sun.
(There's always one that goes against the flow!)
